Bible Study Blog-Make Your Visual Summary Charts
In your Bible notebook, you will be making a Visual Summary Chart at the end of every book. You may arrange these pages anyway you wish but here's what to include:
Record the author of the book: as in Peter-The Author is Peter
If the author is not mentioned in the book, leave this blank
Record the date the book was written--you might have to do a little research to find the date
Record the key words-I will list the main keywords of the Bible in our next post
Copy the chapters themes that you listed at the beginning of each chapter--If there is more than one theme in the chapter, list them both.
Look for and record segment divisions--A book can be divided several ways--dates, reigns of kings, topics, doctrines, major characters or events and more.
Record the purpose of the book--Find out the reason the author is writing this book--
Record the main theme of the book--put all these things together to discover the main theme of the book-Themes for each chapter, author's purpose for writing the book, content of the book chapter by chapter and segment by segment and ask yourself the question? What one statement best descirbes the book as a whole.
